Na sam początek otwieramy „Mój Komputer”. Potem docieramy do pliku, podążając następującą ścieżką:
• (Dla Windows XP) C:\ Users\(nazwa_użytkownika_komputera)\Dokumenty\ Arcania - Gothic 4 Demo\ Input.xml
• (Dla Windows 7) C:\Documents and Settings\(nazwa_użytkownika_komputera)\Moje dokumenty\Arcania - Gothic 4 Demo\Input.xml

(UWAGA!! Nawiasy kwadratowe "[ ]" zastępujemy ostrymi ">")
Otwieramy plik Input.xml w notatniku. Wyszukujemy linijkę, gdzie jest wpis „[/Inputs]”. Tuż przed tym wklejamy:
[Input command="cheat menu"]
[Key code="41"/]
[Activation type="first active"/]
[/Input]
Pamiętajcie! Powyższy tekst należy wpisać przed linijką [/Inputs].
Zapisujemy zmiany i otwieramy grę. Konsolę otwieramy tyldą (~). Miłej zabawy.

Inną możliwością zwiększenia opcji gry jest edycja pliku Input i wpisywanie kolejnych komend. Poniższa lista to polecenia, które należy wpisać tam, gdzie wpisaliśmy "cheat menu", aby uaktywnić konsolę.
